Up to four weighing sensors can be connected
The ScanBox 2.0 can be connected to up to four weighing sensors in a weighing shopping trolley frame via the multiconnector. The high-precision software from KBST thus enables item-specific weighing with an accuracy of up to 2g. Article weights are learnt and processed fully automatically by the KBST backend.

ISO14443 certified NFC antenna
The ScanBox 2.0 has a certified NFC antenna behind the display, which fulfils the hardware requirements for tap-and-go payment by credit or debit card.
Payments are processed via an ISO14443-certified NFC antenna, enabling you to receive payments by debit or credit card or smartphone in a fraud-proof manner.

Integrated 8 megapixel wide-angle camera
The ScanBox 2.0’s integrated camera forms the ideal basis for camera-based article recognition using artificial intelligence. As an additional security feature, it ideally complements the ScanBox and a possible checkweigher to offer retailers additional security when using this self-scanning technology. But that’s not all: up to three additional cameras can be connected via the integrated multi-connector.
These can be used for a variety of scenarios, such as stock control on the shelves.

360° visible LED indicators
A new feature of the ScanBox 2.0 is the all-round visible LED indicators: they signal the status of the device to the customer regardless of their location. In this way, the customer can be alerted to messages on the display if additional action is required. In addition, store staff can be signalled when a customer needs help. This increases the service character of a store and enables a smooth shopping experience for your customers.
The multi-coloured LEDs also indicate the current charging status of the ScanBox as soon as it has been connected to the charging infrastructure provided for this purpose. This allows employees to see immediately whether all devices are being charged.
Simple set-up without additional effort
The ScanBox 2.0 is set up with the existing data base of a store’s products. This means that no additional effort is required for setup and your shopping trolleys can be easily integrated into the daily routine of your shop. Thanks to the intelligent algorithm, the ScanBox plays an active role in maintaining and updating the data records.
Simple setup process: no modifications necessary
As pioneering as the technology and advantages of the ScanBox 2.0 are, it is just as easy to set up. No modifications need to be carried out in the shop, and no specialised personnel (electricians or similar) are required. With the mobile charging rail, you can charge the ScanBox wherever a socket is available. Alternatively, the ScanBox 2.0 holders can be equipped with integrated charging technology so that charging can take place through the shopping trolleys.
Customised control settings and anti-theft camera
An important aspect for use in the retail sector is theft protection. When setting up the system, the algorithm can be customised to your requirements: Random checks are triggered when the set criteria take effect. For example, this could be a large number of high-priced items in the shopping basket or a conspicuous number of products in the same product group. The integrated camera also provides additional security.
Cashierless openings become possible
One of the current challenges in the retail sector is recruiting sufficient staff. The ScanBox 2.0 takes the pressure off the checkout area and staff. Staff only need to be present for random shopping basket checks; the payment process can be carried out directly at the ScanBox. Bracket with integrated charging technology
Thanks to the charging technology integrated into the ScanBox 2.0 holder, connecting each individual device is no longer necessary. When the carts are pushed together, they connect to each other so that only the first or last device in a row needs to be connected to a power source to charge all devices.
